The second semester includes Mathematical Modeling of Energy Generation Installations, New Generation Energy Technologies, Heat Pumps, Solar Energy Conversion Systems, Water Power Engineering, Biofuels and Alternative Fuels, a management elective, and a further foreign language at any level. The third semester covers Energy Systems, Thermonuclear Power Generation, a humanities elective, a master's seminar, and the master's thesis. Graduates are prepared to work in the energy industry, with a foundation suited to designing equipment that uses renewable energy, developing new solutions in renewable energy power, supervising the operation of renewable and hybrid energy systems, assessing the effectiveness of renewable energy use depending on the location of an investment, and contributing to local and global energy strategy. Renewable energy engineering sits at the intersection of thermodynamics, electrical engineering, and environmental science, and demand for specialists in the field has grown alongside broader efforts to decarbonise electricity generation and industrial energy use across Europe.
