About Master in Wirtschaftsinformatik.Html

The two-year master's programme Wirtschaftsinformatik at the University of Saarland combines business studies and computer science, and is one of the few programmes in Germany with a major focus on collaboration with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII).

Students learn to use concepts from business informatics to solve business challenges while gaining deep knowledge in economics, computer science, and scientific work.

The curriculum

consists of 120 Credit Points (CP) divided into five areas: Business Informatics, Business Studies, Computer Science, Scientific Work, and Electives.

Students can choose from a wide range of modules across these areas, including up to two research projects and two tutorial assignments, all of which must be relevant to business informatics.

Additionally, the programme includes a seminar paper and a master's thesis, both of which must be completed in the field of business informatics.

This programme is open to students with a relevant bachelor's degree in business informatics or a comparable field, with at least 180 CP and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
