Master in Computer Science (Master of Science)

The Master's programme in Computer Science at RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau runs over 4 semesters and is aimed at improving students' competencies in planning, designing, and creating information systems and embedded software systems. During the first three semesters, students choose lectures, a project, and a seminar within one self-selected specialisation area, alongside coursework in other computer science areas and a supplementary subject. Specialisations available include Algorithmics and Deduction, Embedded Systems and Robotics, Information Systems, Intelligent Systems, Distributed and Networked Systems, Software Engineering, Visualisation and Scientific Computing, and Data Science. Supplementary subjects account for approximately 25% of the total course of studies. Students work with an adviser to develop an individual study plan and may select supplementary modules from across the university's departments. The fourth semester is dedicated to the master's thesis. The programme is offered at RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
