About Bachelor in Maschinenbau im Praxisverbund

In your first semester at the Wolfenbüttel campus, you will dive into fundamental modules such as Mathematik I and Ingenieurinformatik I, which includes lab work. The programme offers a distinctive blend of theory and practice, with options for both ausbildungs- and praxisintegrierten study formats. In the ausbildungsintegrierten variant, you will complete an IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) certified apprenticeship in addition to your studies, becoming a qualified Industriemechaniker/in, Mechatroniker/in, technische/r Produktdesigner/in, or Zerspanungsmechaniker/in.

All students undertake two practical semesters in a partner company, completing 18 weeks of on-the-job training. This hands-on experience is supplemented by theoretical learning, with a mix of mandatory and elective modules covering areas such as Antriebs- und Fahrzeugtechnik, Konstruktion und Entwicklung, Mechatronik und Digitalisierung, and Smart Production. Throughout the program, you will develop skills in areas such as product development, construction, production, and logistics, preparing you for a career as an engineer in various industrial sectors.
