About Master in Simulation and System Design (SSD)

The Simulation and System Design Master's programme covers the theory and methods of designing and simulating technical systems as well as systems for logistics and production. The programme emphasises the use of suitable software packages to enable the analysis, development, and simulation of such systems. Alongside technical content, students examine selected topics from business administration to develop the ability to assess and explain the business dimensions of engineering decisions. The programme is offered in two variants — three semesters and four semesters — admitting students in both winter and summer semesters. The three-semester route requires an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with 210 ECTS points and a relevant internship of at least 12 weeks or professional experience. The four-semester route requires an undergraduate degree with 180 ECTS points. The programme is taught in English and is based at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund, Germany.
