About Master in Robotics, MEng

The Master's programme in Robotics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology is built on the content of the TC Intelligent Robotics and shaped by the needs of regional industry, with scope for industrial and medical technology applications. The programme deepens knowledge of robotics in general and the application of artificial intelligence in robotics in particular, combining teaching in robotics, systems engineering, human-robot interaction, machine learning, and computer science. Students develop specialist knowledge across perception in robotics, modern automatic control and decision-making systems such as motion planning, robot modelling and simulation, and industrial robotics and automation. Additional course content covers intelligent multi-agent systems and project-based case studies in robot programming using ROS. The programme runs over 3 semesters, beginning in either the winter or summer semester. Two specialisation tracks are available in the second semester: Intelligent Robotics, covering advanced methods, computer vision, robot modelling, and industrial automation; and Assistive Robotics, covering soft robotics, sensor fusion, biomechanics, rehabilitation robotics, and human-robot interaction. The third semester includes a subject-related elective, a Master's seminar, and the Master's thesis. The programme is delivered at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology campus in Cham, Germany.
