The Master's programme in Mechatronics at RWU is structured across three semesters, each with a distinct purpose. The first semester (MM1) is individualised: course programmes and timetables are tailored to each student to address differences in background knowledge from their undergraduate studies. The second semester (MM2) focuses on core mechatronics subjects including robotics and control design, combined with laboratory training and a scientific project completed in an international team. Working in these international teams also develops intercultural competencies, which are treated as a substantive part of the programme. The third semester (MM3) is dedicated primarily to the Master's thesis, which must be written in English and presented publicly at the university. International students are expected to complete their thesis in Germany, though the work may also be done at a partner university abroad or at a company or research institute. Tuition fees are EUR 3,000 per year. The programme begins in the winter semester and is offered at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten in Weingarten, Germany.
