Students complete hands-on training in fitness assessment, exercise programming, and client instruction. They engage in practical labs and in-person sessions with professional instructors. The programme prepares students to work in fitness facilities, recreation centres, and private practice. Graduates can pursue certification through the American Council on Exercise.

10-month full-time blended online and in-person programme.

Graduates work as personal trainers in fitness facilities, recreation centres, resorts, hotels, post-secondary schools, or as self-employed trainers.

Minimum 17 years of age. Alberta High School Diploma or recognized equivalent. Admission interview. English language proficiency required for non-native speakers: IELTS Academic overall 5.5 (no band below 5.0), TOEFL iBT overall 59, PTE Academic 45-52, CAEL 50, CLB Level 6, CELPIP 6, Duolingo 95, or completion of post-secondary education in English. International credentials require IQAS evaluation.

Blended online and in-person, full-time, 10 months.
