Introduction
Florence Classical Arts Academy (FCAA) is a private fine arts academy founded in Florence, Italy. Known for its rigorous training in traditional and classical art techniques, FCAA focuses on developing students' skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture using methods from the Renaissance and 19th-century academic traditions. The academy offers immersive, hands-on programs in classical realism and portraiture, aiming to preserve and pass on the art traditions that have been central to Florence’s cultural history.
About the Program
The One-Year program is the first year of the Three-Year program and is the Foundation Year in one's professional art education. This course provides the students with highly individual and customised training in small student groups. Our professors are top-notch experts who will meet you on your level of preparation and your artistic background. The sequence of learning unfolds from drawing and painting basic geometrical figures, then still-life, then casts and finally leading to portraiture. This program enables a student to gain the necessary applied knowledge in order to begin building their portfolio. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year Program the students receive the Certificate in Visual Arts and are eligible for admission to the second year of the Three-Year Program (Diploma in Visual Arts).
If accepted to the program, you will be required to pay a €950 registration fee to secure your place on the program. The fee is treated as a down payment and will be applied toward your tuition bill. Your registration fee must be submitted within 15 days of receiving your acceptance email.
