About the Program

Mechatronics Engineering at Aalen University is an interdisciplinary bachelor's programme that combines mechanical, electrical, computer, and control engineering. Foundational subjects include mathematics, electronics, computer science, and manufacturing engineering. The curriculum was developed in collaboration with industry and includes both theoretical coursework and hands-on training. The programme spans 7 semesters. The first four semesters cover core engineering and foundation modules. The seventh and final semester is given over to the Bachelor's thesis, most often carried out in cooperation with an industrial partner. Lab facilities include equipment for actuators and sensors, system dynamics, CAD/CAM, production engineering, robotics, and medical and optical technologies. Tuition fees are EUR 3,000 per year.
