Bachelor in Intelligent Mechatronic Systems

The Bachelor's programme in Intelligent Mechatronic Systems covers the functionality of modern mechatronic and robotic systems, oriented around their key components: sensors, actuators, information technology, communication technology, and basic AI principles. The basic studies phase builds foundations in mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. In the advanced study period, students deepen their knowledge in control systems, data science, and the industrial Internet of Things, choosing specialisations according to their interests and strengths. The programme spans seven semesters, starting in the winter semester. Students conclude their studies with a Bachelor's thesis, which is often completed in collaboration with local, globally-oriented companies. The programme is taught in English, though students also have the opportunity to develop their German language skills during their studies. The programme is offered at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences in Heilbronn.
