Master in Laboratory for Foundation Engineering and Soil Mechanics

At University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, applications for the Sep 2026 intake are open until Aug 31, 2026.

The Laboratory for Foundation Engineering and Soil Mechanics of the Department of Civil Engineering uses modern laboratory and field equipment for testing and exploration purposes, including plate load tests, pile-driving core, and dynamic probing. Students can participate in lab exercises such as Grundbau und Bodenmechanik I bis III.

All standard subsoil investigations can be carried out in accordance with DIN standards. The lab is also recognized as a test center for carrying out soil tests in road construction, and the Geotechnical department offers consulting services in all areas of geotechnical and environmental engineering.

Students also benefit from an elective course 'Bodenmechanisches Laborpraktikum'
