Master in International Master's Programme in Advanced Computational and Civil Engineering Structural Studies (ACCESS)

Dresden, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The ACCESS programme develops a strong knowledge base in computational mechanics and structural analysis alongside advanced civil engineering design. Numerical simulations underpin modern technical innovation in engineering, and the programme trains students to understand, model and analyse these approaches within the broader context of application and design. Core focus areas include the theory and application of computational mechanics, numerical structural analysis, current developments in civil engineering design, and advanced construction methods. The 4-semester programme begins in the winter semester. It is divided into two parts: the first three semesters cover eight mandatory modules and five electives chosen from twelve options, including an application-based science project. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master's thesis and colloquium. Content is delivered through lectures, exercises, seminars, tutorials and projects, supported by mentoring. The programme is offered at Dresden University of Technology in Dresden, Germany.
