    This program focuses on food service management with a strong emphasis on nutrition across the lifecycle. Students learn to conduct nutrition assessments and modify diets for therapeutic use. The curriculum includes training in Indigenous culinary practices and reconciliation through food. Practical experience is gained through community partnerships and work placements.

    Focus areas include nutrition, Indigenous culinary practices, therapeutic diets, food service supervision, reconciliation through food, community food production.

    Two years, full-time, on-campus. Includes a practicum in the second year. Co-op work permit required for practicum.

    Graduates work as food service supervisors, diet technicians, catering managers, or nutrition managers in hospitals, long-term care, schools, and other institutions.

    Grade 12 or equivalent. English language requirement. ACCUPLACER scores: 250 Arithmetic, 250 Reading, 245 Writing, 4 Writeplacer. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience required. Criminal Record Check may be required for practicum.

    On-campus, full-time, two years.
