Bachelor in On Stage

At the Musical LAB, Performing Hour’s, Galas, Events, Schauspielproduktionen, and a final musical production mark the artistic-practical module of the B.A. programme at the Institut für Musik. Each year, the Abschlussjahrgänge present their final musical production to the public, showcasing the culmination of their artistic, professional, and musical training.

As a part of the studies, students are required to participate in a professional event: the Musical Absolvent*innen Präsentation (MAP), hosted annually by the Zentrale Auslands- und Facheinrichtung (ZAV), an agency of the Agentur für Arbeit, alongside all state musical institutions in Germany, Austria, and the UK.

Students get a chance to present their work to industry professionals, such as Intendanten, Agenten und Castern, and are given the opportunity to be included in the ZAV’s database.

The MAP is an official entry point into the professional marketplace for performing artists, enabling graduates to showcase their talents and potentially secure roles in musical productions.
