Bachelor in Musikinstrumentenbau Bachelor

Located in a historic Jugendstil villa, the Musikinstrumentenbau Bachelor program at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau combines artistic instrument-making traditions with modern scientific methods. Modules include musical acoustics, technical mechanics, materials science, music history, and restoration techniques. Students specialize in either Zupfinstrumentenbau (plucked string instruments) or Streichinstrumentenbau (bowed string instruments), with projects ranging from classical guitars to experimental designs.
