This program equips nurse anesthetists with education and skills in clinical practice-oriented leadership through evidence-based research, quality improvement, financial management, and systems leadership. Students receive hands-on training via clinical partnerships with over 30 sites, gaining experience with diverse patient populations and anesthetic techniques. It is a 36-month full-time program involving both didactic and clinical instruction, with a heavy science focus for the first year, mixed with simulation and basic anesthesia principles.

Prospective students must be registered nurses with a prior bachelor's degree in any field. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required, with a preference for higher GPAs and strong grades in basic sciences (physics, biochemistry, organic chemistry). Critical care experience in an ICU setting, evidenced by CCRN certification, is necessary, along with a CRNA shadow verification form.
