Master of Science in AgriGenomics

The Master of Science in AgriGenomics at Kiel University is designed to meet a growing demand for specialists who understand both agricultural production and the application of genomics in the breeding and cultivation of crops and livestock. The programme covers genome resequencing, whole-genome analysis, genotypic selection based on genome sequences and chip arrays, and the evolutionary processes behind modern crops and livestock. The programme runs over 4 semesters beginning in the winter semester and is structured around ten mandatory and six elective modules comprising lectures, seminars, practical courses, and excursions. Optionally, off-campus internships at partner research institutes or German life science and breeding companies can be included in the curriculum. Classes take place on the Kiel University campus. Graduates receive a Master of Science (MSc) degree. The programme is offered at Kiel University in Kiel, Germany.
