The Master Histoire, civilisations, patrimoine at Université Jean Monnet includes a single pathway, Management et Médiation des Patrimoines, with options in patrimoine naturel and numérique, plus patrimoine archéologique, and the more classic patrimoine bâti, artistique, religieux, colonial, et immatériel. The programme's partners include the Direction des Affaires Culturelles, Service Régional de l'Archéologie, Pays d'Art et d'Histoire, and Musée.

This degree promotes interdisciplinary study and reflection on the interactions between various types of patrimony, such as the relationship between patrimoine bâti and patrimoine géologique, or patrimoine industriel and patrimoine naturel. It combines theoretical reflection on the preservation and valorisation of patrimony with practical, administrative, and legal aspects of patrimonial management, as well as the use of digital tools. It also promotes a strong methodological training in bibliography, dissertation writing, and professional project development.

• Students are encouraged to study the management of patrimoine naturel, such as faune, flore, roches, and fossiles, and their interactions with patrimoine plus classique.
• In addition to the theoretical and practical skills, the degree prepares students for a wide range of careers in patrimonial management, including roles in research, patrimonial preservation, and museum management.
