Master in Electrical Engineering

Stuttgart, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The MSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart is a two-year programme running over 4 semesters, with intakes available in both the winter and summer semester. It covers the traditional foundations of electrical engineering and information technology and can be completed entirely in English without any German language requirement. When registering for their first exams, students select one of seven areas of specialisation: Smart Information Processing, Communication Systems, Nano- and Optoelectronics, Power-Electronic Systems and Technologies, Smart Systems, Electromagnetics and Applications, or Electrical Energy Systems. The first three semesters are study terms in which students complete a mix of core courses from their specialisation catalogue and elective courses, allowing some customisation. Practical training and the research and Master's theses in the fourth semester give students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. The programme is offered at the University of Stuttgart in Stuttgart, Germany.
