The goal of this program is to prepare students for obtaining their PhD degree through acquisition of latest research methodologies, participation in conferences and teaching expertise in higher education. The Doctoral School of Literary Studies offers doctoral studies in the following fields: Literary Theory and Cultural Studies Comparative Literature The Hungarian and European Renaissance The Hungarian Baroque The Hungarian and European Enlightenment Romanticism Hungarian Modernism Hungarian Literature after 1945 The Folklore and Literature of the Uralic Peoples Library and Information Science Hungarian and Comparative Folklore Medieval and Early Modern English Literature and Culture (only with C1 English knowledge) Modern English and American Literature and Culture (only with C1 English knowledge) American Studies (only with C1 English knowledge) French Literature Italian Literary and Cultural Studies Spanish and Portuguese Literatures Russian Literature and Literary Studies: a Comparative Approach Slavic Literatures Studies in German Literatures and Cultures Dutch and Scandinavian Studies Detailed description of the programs
