Master in Digitalisation and Innovation (MBA)

Digitalisation and Innovation is a 4-semester MBA programme at Hof University of Applied Sciences in Hof, Germany, with intakes in both winter and summer semesters. The programme combines management fundamentals with topics in digitalisation, and it is open to applicants from both technical and non-technical backgrounds — no programming experience is required. The first two semesters are classroom-based. Mandatory modules cover Applied Economics and Intercultural Management, and Strategic and Financial Framework. German language courses are also required for students entering below B1 level. Eight core modules address Innovation Management, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Digital Business Models, IT Security, Ideation Techniques and Digital Innovation, Project Management, and Leadership and Change Management. Teaching methods include cloud-based simulations, haptic management games, and case studies alongside regular lectures. The third and fourth semesters are spent on an industry internship (30 ECTS) and the master's thesis (30 ECTS), which runs concurrently. The programme costs 6,600 EUR per year. Graduates are expected to reach a German language level of at least B1 by the time they begin the internship; the A2 and B1 levels can be attained through courses offered in Hof during the first two semesters.
