Data Science at Fulda University of Applied Sciences is a master's programme available in 90 ECTS (three semesters) and 120 ECTS (four semesters) options, starting in the winter semester. The programme focuses on data engineering and data analysis, covering the full process from data understanding and preparation through to modelling, evaluation, and implementation of data-driven solutions. Students work with frameworks including Python and R. The first two semesters cover basics in data engineering and data analysis, an application-specific course, and a course in data security, law, and ethics. Students apply this knowledge in practice-oriented courses and a team project. For the 120 ECTS option, available to students entering with a 180 ECTS Bachelor's degree, an additional semester includes a semester abroad at a partner university or a research project, along with computer science courses and electives.
