The Bachelor's programme in Clean Energy Processes (CEP) at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg is a six-semester, English-taught degree that starts each winter semester. It provides a foundation in engineering science and economics applied to clean energy, covering mathematics, physics, chemical reaction engineering fundamentals, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, renewable energies, fundamentals of energy resources, and decentralised energy supply. The curriculum includes basic science and engineering modules, foundational economics, subject-specific modules in energy topics, an active project in which students gain first-hand experience with research at partner institutes, two elective modules, and a Bachelor's thesis. The programme also addresses soft and scientific skills. Students benefit from proximity to research centres including the Helmholtz Institute for Renewable Energy, the Energy Campus Nürnberg, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, and the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research. The programme is based at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in Erlangen, Germany.
