Human- und Molekularbiologie students tackle human physiology, microbiology, and molecular plant biology in the first four semesters, then engage in research in the fifth and sixth semesters.

This programme is designed to prepare students for work in the bioscience sector, including industry and academia; you will learn scientific working methods and gain practical laboratory skills. Modular structure allows for individual focus in research and teaching, while the interfakultäre Zentrum für Human- und Molekularbiologie encourages scientific exchange across faculties. Although many classes are in German, some modules are taught in English.

The programme is available for full-time study, with part-time options; it also offers a joint degree with the Université de Strasbourg offering a chance to study and research in France
