The BEng Business Engineering Logistics at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences is a seven-semester programme addressing logistics, business, and digital skills within an international context. Core subject areas include economics — covering occupational science, work safety, quality management, environmental and energy management, sustainability, and human resources — informatics including database and big data, data analytics, and foundational artificial intelligence, and logistics including logistics systems, material flow engineering, system planning, project management, and warehouse management and simulation. The programme starts in the winter semester. The first two semesters cover foundational subjects across business administration, engineering, and logistics. In the third and fourth semesters, students enter a specialisation: either Economics and Innovations (covering operations management, supply chain management, logistics controlling, and an innovation projects course in semester six) or Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (covering automation engineering, control engineering, and an AI lab in semester six). The fifth semester is an internship semester. The sixth and seventh semesters cover management skills including human resources, warehouse management systems, and simulation, and conclude with the Bachelor's thesis.
