About the Program

The Bachelor in Management and Data Science at Technical University of Munich's Heilbronn campus is a 6-semester programme in which data science is embedded throughout all management modules. Traditional business management content such as accounting, logistics, and marketing is taught in the context of data science, and technological developments including artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning are examined from the perspectives of both technology designers and users. The programme applies economic, social, and ethical criteria to these topics, including compatibility with fundamental rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. Students build a strong mathematical foundation and complete computer science courses at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology at the Heilbronn campus. The first four semesters are entirely compulsory, covering business administration (39 credits), economics (12 credits), law (6 credits), quantitative basics (27 credits), and technical data science fundamentals (36 credits). The fifth semester is designed as a mobility window, including a project study (12 credits) and three elective modules (18 credits), giving students the opportunity to study abroad. The sixth semester includes two further electives, a module on communication and intercultural competencies, and the Bachelor's thesis. The programme is taught in English and is based at Technical University of Munich's campus in Heilbronn, Germany.
