For the Pflegewissenschaft B.A. programme, all first-year students must complete a compulsory equivalent exam, a four-hour exam covering modules such as Pflegeprozesssteuerung (Nursing Process Control), Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention (Health Promotion and Prevention), Patientenorientierung und Pflegeethik (Patient Orientation and Nursing Ethics), and Pflege unterschiedlicher Zielgruppen (Care of Different Groups). This exam assesses competencies gained from nursing training and practice, and passing it grants 50 ECTS, allowing students to start in the third semester. The exam is based on a reader provided by the university, which must be purchased for 22 euros.
