Master in Air Transport and Logistics

Dresden, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Air Transport and Logistics at TU Dresden is a Master of Science programme available in both a four-semester full-time and an eight-semester part-time format, with entry in the winter semester. Students gain technical, operational, logistic, economic, and legal knowledge of air transport systems, developing the skills to analyse and optimise air transport processes and to identify and solve problems within those systems. The first half of the programme covers the foundational knowledge of air transport, including aerodynamics and aircraft, airport and flight operations, flight planning, navigation, safety, and security, as well as methodical skills in logistics and the optimisation of passenger and freight transport processes. In the second half, students choose from specialisation modules in logistics and technology in air transport and can also select from adjacent topics such as transport planning, transport demand modelling, transport psychology, telematics, process optimisation, and quality assurance. A mobility window in the fourth semester allows students to study abroad, with up to 30 ECTS transferable from an international institution. The programme sits within the Faculty of Transportation and Traffic Sciences at TU Dresden and has been developed in close cooperation with aviation industry partners. TU Dresden delivers this programme in Dresden.
