Graduates from the Wirtschaftsprüfung specialisation work in auditing, finance, and accounting, with many starting their careers at firms like PwC, where the programme's faculty have professional experience including a former partner.

Based on practical case studies, students learn to plan, execute, and document audits of annual and consolidated financial statements. This includes developing audit strategies based on risk assessments, and determining and carrying out necessary audit procedures.

Fieldwork and faculty expertise

The curriculum includes fieldwork at companies, with an emphasis on understanding business operations and management. Students benefit from lectures and field trips which connect theory with practice. The course is taught by Prof. Dr. Caroline Flick, who brings extensive experience from her career at firms such as Coopers & Lybrand and PwC.
