Bachelor in Watermanagement

Graduates of the Watermanagement programme find careers in companies, governments, and non-profit sectors, working at all levels from local authorities to research institutes, consultancies, engineering firms, and industries.

Watermanagement at HZ is a four-year programme that starts with a solid foundation in the first year, focusing on understanding water itself, its biological and ecological aspects, and its societal and economic dimensions. You'll work on real projects for Zeeuwse organisations, learning to observe, analyse, and sketch, while also understanding users and environments. In the second year, you collaborate with HZ research groups and both national and international organisations on increasingly complex problems, choosing your role in projects that combine aquatic ecology, creative design, and delta management. In the third year, you'll complete a minor and an internship, either at home or abroad. The final year involves research with HZ research groups and participation in the HZ Coastal Challenge, culminating in an internship where you'll be in close contact with faculty and peers, exchanging knowledge and experiences.
