Studying in the workshop and various display spaces at UiA, you will develop your artistic skills in well-equipped workshops through creative, experimental and investigative processes. Student experiences are enhanced through workshops in art mediation, at UiA’s art collection and Kunstsilo. The programme's 5th semester offers placements at regional and national art institutions.

The programme develops your personal expressive abilities, your creative skills, your aesthetic and critical awareness. You will gain a deep understanding of relevant methods, techniques, materials and media, and the ability to analyse and reflect on your own and others' art projects. The programme offers insight into the role of art in society and the significance of art in community.

You will gain knowledge in art communication and formidling. Graduates receive a bachelor in visual arts and communication. The programme prepares you to shape and communicate art and is ideal for those interested in engaging with, creating, and discussing art, and progressing within the arts field.
