Sustainable Management and Technology (BSMT) is a six-semester Bachelor's programme that combines business administration with interdisciplinary competencies for managing sustainability within companies and their supply chains. The programme covers how to develop sustainable technologies, products, and processes, with teaching drawing on renewable resources, sustainable technologies, chemical-material use, and energy recovery alongside economic aspects of production and marketing. The first four semesters establish foundations in business administration, sustainable management, economics, quantitative methods, computer science, biotechnology, biochemistry, materials science, and energy and process engineering. From the fifth semester, the focus shifts to more advanced business and technology elective courses, with an increasing role for project study and the Bachelor's thesis. The fifth semester also serves as a mobility window for study abroad. The programme is taught in English and runs over 6 semesters with intake in the winter semester. The programme is offered at the Technical University of Munich's Straubing campus in Germany.
