Diploma in Radio-Oncology Technology

The Radio-Oncology Technology programme at Collège Ahuntsic is a full-time, on-campus diploma programme that takes three years to complete. It prepares students to work as technologists in radiotherapy, supporting cancer patients through treatment planning and delivery. The programme is offered in French and is the only one of its kind in Montreal. Students train in the largest radio-oncology training centre in Quebec.

The curriculum includes courses in physics, biology, medical imaging, and patient care. Students learn to plan and deliver radiation treatments using computer systems, create immobilization devices, and support patients emotionally throughout their treatment. Training includes hands-on experience in clinical settings through mandatory placements in hospitals.

Admission is based on the SRAM system with two intake sessions per year. The programme admits most applicants in the first round. A total of 65 spots are available annually. Graduates qualify for employment in hospitals and clinics across Quebec and Canada.
