The quantity surveying profession focuses on controlling construction costs from inception to completion, requiring knowledge of measurement, cost planning, contracts and commercial management. This programme provides the theoretical foundations and practical skills needed to assess building works, negotiate contracts and deliver value-engineered projects.

Study is organised over four years. The first two years build core competencies in construction technology, measurement and software tools. Years three and four deepen expertise with cost control, dispute resolution, BIM application and a capstone project, while a mandatory three-month industry placement in the second semester of the third year adds real-world experience.

• Use of industry-standard software such as CAD, BIM and quantity-take-off packages.
• Option to exit after two years with a Higher Certificate in Construction Economics or after three years with a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
