The Modedesign programme at the WHZ is the most exciting part of the clothing design field — it’s here, at Schneeberg, that the graduates produce their final year collections that are often showcased at the Fashion Design College and in the [Publikationen](https://www.whz.de/aks/studium/studiengang-gestaltung/modedesign/publikationen/) section. This programme is for those who want to use their creative skills to design clothes and fashion accessories, and who are curious to know how these are manufactured and marketed. The course is structured into eight semesters. It includes two practical semesters, which encourage students to gain hands-on experience by working on real industry projects. The final semester culminates in the Bachelor's thesis and the collection presentation, showcasing the final year projects of each student. The course also offers the opportunity for students to participate in national and international competitions, and to present their works at fashion shows.
