The program is based on research and theory applied in practice. Students gain skills in psychiatric nursing and use them in clinical environments. The curriculum focuses on ethical behavior, diversity, and care that addresses all aspects of a person's well-being. Learners build abilities in mental health care and standard nursing techniques.

Two-and-a-half years, 143 credits, includes 2,145 hours of clinical practice education, with on-campus and virtual delivery components.

Graduates enter careers as registered psychiatric nurses in hospitals, long-term care, community mental health, home care, and correctional institutions.

Grade 12 with minimum 70% in English Language Arts 30, Foundations of Math 30 or Pre-Calculus 30, Biology 30, Chemistry 30. Minimum 18 years old by December 31 of admission year. English language requirement applies. Required certifications: Standard First Aid, CPR-HCP, N95 fit testing, WHMIS, TLR, and PART Advanced Level.

On-campus, full-time, three years with clinical placements in Saskatchewan.
