This Diplôme Interuniversitaire (DIU) in pain management, offered in partnership with the University of Lyon, Clermont University, and Université Grenoble Alpes, focuses on the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to understand and treat patients with pain, including both the patient and their support network. The course, led by experts such as neurologist Dr. Roland Peyron and anesthesiologist Dr. Marie-Louise Navez, is structured around four 2-day modules, covering topics like the biochemical and psychosocial aspects of pain, therapeutic responses, and pain management in specific scenarios. This is followed by a mandatory 3-day practical stage in a pain centre.
