Master in Praktikum

Students in the MSc Angewandte Psychologie programme complete a compulsory internship, aligned with the fields of expertise taught in the Master's curriculum. The 450-hour internship is designed to allow students to work on real-world psychological tasks and gain practical experience. For instance, students are able to observe and participate in tasks such as diagnostics, consulting, training development, or the execution of further training.

The internship is typically conducted in relevant practical areas such as school psychology, business consultation, personnel selection and development, or adult education. Students are encouraged to start the internship during their third semester.

Students can choose to complete the internship in one continuous block or in two parts, each lasting a minimum of 225 hours. Additionally, research internships can be counted as part of the internship requirement. The internship can be completed during the semester or in the vacation period.
