You will study the fundamental concepts of time, space and matter, exploring quantum mechanics, special relativity, cosmology and the evolution of galaxies. The course also develops advanced analytical, mathematical and computing skills that are highly valued by employers across many sectors.

Throughout the three years you can choose from a range of optional modules each year, undertake a genuine research project and, if you wish, switch after the second year to the four-year MPhys degree.
