Perioperative Nursing/LPN

Tuition is $5,420 for the 2026-27 academic year.

Students learn the nursing process and aseptic technique through theory and hands-on training. They practice technical skills in a surgical environment during a one-week skills lab. A 10-week clinical practice follows, including instructor-led and preceptored rotations. Students work as scrub or circulating nurses under supervision during surgical procedures.

Eight months full-time or three years part-time; 22 weeks of theory online; one-week onsite lab; 10-week clinical practice; five theory courses; co-op and practicum included.

Graduates work as perioperative nurses in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centres, and freestanding clinics.

Current license with a practical nurses' licensing body in the province of clinical placement; proof of completion of Administration of Medications for LPNs, NURS 1601 Catheterization, and PHAR 1602 IM Completer if applicable; English requirement met through licensure.
