About Bachelor in Performing Arts

The tuition fee is 14,018 USD per year.

Students can apply for a six-month Yeats Design Residency at the Abbey Theatre and spend a week at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, gaining hands-on experience in set, lighting and costume design. Industry-linked placements are also available in Year 3, with past locations including the Abbey Theatre, Blue Raincoat Theatre Company, CBC’s The Tudors and companies across Europe and the United States, allowing students to build professional contacts while working in real production environments.

The programme suits applicants who have already explored acting or design at a lower level and wish to develop specialist skills in a university setting. Week by week students attend acting workshops, voice and movement classes, and design studios where they model, draw and fabricate set pieces, while also studying cultural studies, performance analysis and directing. In the final year the focus shifts to professional practice, with guest practitioners delivering specialist talks and a showcase of student work.
