Paramedic

This program prepares students to provide emergency medical care in prehospital settings. It combines theory and practice to develop skills in patient assessment, emergency response, and medical interventions. Students learn to manage emergencies using evidence-based methods and clinical protocols. The curriculum focuses on practical application through simulations and clinical placements.

4 semesters, on campus, no co-op or practicum mentioned beyond required clinical placements.

Graduates work as paramedics in land and air ambulance services, emergency medical response, and occupational health and safety.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, 1 French credit, 1 English credit, 1 biology credit, 1 chemistry or science credit. English requirement: CLB Level 6 or PAET certificate with 50% in specialized courses. Medical authorization form, police clearance, Class G2 driver’s licence, immunization record, medical certificate, first aid and CPR certificates, WHMIS certificate, and N-95 mask fit testing required before July 1st.

On-campus, full-time, 4 semesters.
