Bachelor in Nursing (BScN)

Students who have completed secondary school or hold university credits and wish to become registered nurses will find this programme suitable. It welcomes recent high-school graduates entering through Semester 1 and those with at least 30 post-secondary credit hours who can join in Semester 3.

The curriculum blends scientific foundations with hands-on clinical experience, preparing graduates to respond to health and illness needs in hospitals, homes, schools, clinics and communities. Study can be undertaken at the Halifax or Yarmouth campus, with each year including placements in a variety of healthcare settings. Optional nursing certificates – perinatal and paediatric, public health, mental health, acute/critical care and oncology – allow specialisation alongside the degree.
