About the Program

This course is specifically designed for students that have successfully completed either the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing apprenticeship (school nursing or health visiting) the Specialist Community Nursing (District Nursing) apprenticeship. You’ll be eligible to complete an MSc Specialist Community Practice top-up award. This course aims to help you develop a valid research question and proposal, synthesise relevant scientific literature, and critically evaluate appropriate study methods and results within the context of current evidence. You’ll undertake independent research with periodic supervision, applying methodical approaches such as planning research steps, recording progress, conducting literature reviews, collecting data, and performing statistical analysis.
