Master in MSc Physiotherapy (February Start) 2026/27

The programme is split into two academic years, each following a case-based learning approach. In Year 1 you study human sciences, professional development and core physiotherapy theory while undertaking supervised placements that total at least 1 000 hours. Year 2 builds on this foundation with advanced theory, research projects and further placements, including an optional eight-week placement abroad.

The course examines the scientific basis of human movement, the influence of psychological, cultural and social factors on patient care, and the decision-making required to design personalised treatment plans. You develop skills in assessment, intervention and health promotion through workshops, simulations and collaborative case studies.

Graduates register with the HCPC and can practise as qualified physiotherapists in the NHS, private sector, industry, sport or charitable organisations.
