About the Program

The Master's programme in Digital Health at Deggendorf Institute of Technology develops graduate-level competence in theoretical, practical, and methodological aspects of digital health. Graduates are prepared for management, research, and development roles within the health industry, with the ability to conduct empirical research and development in telematics, telemedicine, eHealth, and digital health application systems. The curriculum is organised around four module clusters: Health Care, Digital Health, Research and Methodology, and Soft Skills. The first semester covers fundamentals of medicine and computer science, international and global health, digital health technology and coding, and contemporary health research. The second semester addresses digital health information systems, applications, health economy and management, and data protection, alongside four elective modules in digital health management, data analytics and artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and programming. The third semester focuses on intercultural and scientific communication and management, and concludes with the Master's thesis. The programme runs over 3 semesters starting in the winter semester, is taught entirely in English, and is based at the European Campus Rottal-Inn in Pfarrkirchen. German language courses are available as part of the programme. The programme is offered at Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Pfarrkirchen, Germany.
