About Bachelor in Midwifery (B.Sc.), berufsbegleitend

Graduates of the Midwifery BSc programme are equipped to contribute to the advancement of women's and families' health through a variety of roles, including practice instruction, quality management, and research. They can also pursue further study, such as a master's degree in Hebammenwissenschaft.

The Midwifery BSc programme is designed to complement a professional midwife's practical experience. This programme, taught at the Caprivi-Campus, is one of the first of its kind in Germany and is led by Professor Dr. Claudia Hellmers. They are taught to apply evidence-based practices and develop care processes. Modules are specifically tailored to midwives' existing professional experience, and the curriculum includes two weeks of on-campus study per semester, allowing students to combine their studies with their careers.
