Medical Electrophysiology Techniques

Students in the Medical Electrophysiology Techniques programme learn to perform and interpret diagnostic tests on the nervous system and heart. They work with equipment that records electrical activity in the brain, spinal cord, and muscles. The programme includes hands-on training in patient preparation, data collection, and analysis of results from tests like EEG, EMG, and ECG.

The programme runs over six sessions, with a mix of classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical placements. Students take courses in anatomy, physiology, ethics, and medical data systems. They also complete two clinical internships to gain real-world experience in healthcare settings.

Admission is based on secondary school graduation with specific prerequisites in science and math. The programme starts in the fall and takes two years to complete. Graduates are eligible to work as medical electrophysiologists in hospitals and clinics.
