About Master's in Finance (MSc)

The Master's in Finance at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is structured in stages that move from research preparation and leadership development through core modules and on to electives and a thesis. Core modules include Financial Statement Analysis for Security Valuation, Fundamentals of Corporate Valuation, Empirical Corporate Finance, Applied Corporate Valuation, Financial Modelling, and Empirical Finance. Elective modules cover areas such as Alternative Investments and Derivatives, Mergers and Acquisitions, Risk Management in Financial Institutions, and Applied Business Analytics, among others. Several study tracks are available. The standard Semester Abroad Track includes two semesters at EBS and one semester at one of more than 200 partner universities, followed by the thesis. An Accelerated Track shortens the programme to two semesters for applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree with 240 ECTS and prior international experience. A Practice Track replaces the abroad semester with an intensive internship. A Dual Degree option extends the abroad period by one semester to earn a second degree. The programme begins in both winter and summer semesters and is offered at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in Oestrich-Winkel.
